Not born yesterday
ELLEHAMMER was founded in 1904 by the Danish inventor J.C.H.
Ellehammer, who is regarded as the inventor of motorised flight in
Europe.
With the large number of his important patents, Ellehammer was a
visionary inventor who helped to lay the foundations of modern
industrial development.
His son, Hans Ellehammer, who only (!) patented about 20
inventions, continued the development of the company with a high
degree of specialisation in emergency fire pumps and ejectors, and
with focus on business development.
This was the background in which he set up the Ellehammer
Foundation, which has owned the company, ELLEHAMMER, since Hans
Ellehammer died in 2004. See the Ellehammer Foundation's Danish
website at: www.ellehammerfonden.dk.
The current managing director, Bruno Wigandt, took over from
Hans Ellehammer and continues the proud tradition of high quality
and innovation in a modern business that is now one of the world's
leading producers of ejectors and emergency fire pumps for maritime
applications.
Over 70,000 Ellehammer ejectors are used every day around the
world, and the emergency fire pumps have a leading position on the
market.
You see, when it comes to safety and reliability, ELLEHAMMER was
not born yesterday. ELLEHAMMER has a long tradition for
well-thought-out solutions that never fail.
